Hank Nickol is a retired Vice President of the Ford Motor Company, where he spent 40 years overseeing various aspects of the design and manufacturing of engines, powertrains, body and assembly. Hank’s last assignment was as vice president of vehicle operations, which included responsibility over 40 plants, including 18 assembly plants. As chief engineer of engine and powertrain, Hank led efforts to meet tight fuel economy and emission control standards through electronic control of engine and powertrain. Hank holds several patents.
Hank holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Detroit and an M.S. in engineering from the University of Michigan . He is a longtime member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Engineering Society of Detroit, where he was elected to the College of Fellows. Since retirement he has been a member of several boards of automotive-related companies. He has three adult children and maintains homes in Birmingham, MI and La Jolla , CA.
